Hannah Senesh Community Day School, a vibrant and inclusive, independent K-8 Jewish community in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn, is hiring an Admissions Associate to begin August 2020.

The Admissions Associate is a member of the Advancement Team and will play a significant role in helping to move us forward into this next phase. This position includes two types of roles - one is working in the front office and representing the school and the other is working with the Director of Admissions to help grow recruitment and engagement.

Be the welcoming face of the school by greeting guests and visitors, managing incoming telephone calls, messages and emails, and supporting and following through on parent requests.
Support daily operations of the school by accepting deliveries, distributing mail, and managing maintenance of copier and Pitney Bowes postage machine.
Be involved in growing the school. Work with the Director of Admissions to plan and manage admissions and community-wide events including, but not limited to, in-person and virtual open houses, accepted parent events, new family events, playdates, parent ambassador training, community partnerships and events, and school fairs.
Collect and analyze data to help determine and execute recruitment strategy.
Support the admissions process from inquiry to enrollment to onboarding of new families including managing inquiries, communicating with prospective parents, coordinating tours and student visits, following up on application steps, supporting onboarding of new families, and more.
Bachelor’s Degree, with at least 1-3 years of professional experience in customer service, events planning, and/or Jewish organizational life.
Strong project management and interpersonal skills.
Must be flexible, organized, proactive, and have strong communications skills.
Understanding of Jewish non-profit and brownstone Brooklyn communities, a plus.
