The Northeastern University Library is looking for a creative and thoughtful individual to lead an exciting new online platform - the Northeastern Commons. The Commons platform is where Northeastern University students, faculty, and staff come together to share ideas, explore common interests, foster creativity, and expand interdisciplinary thinking. As the Commons coordinator, you will help shape this emerging service while working with a team of talented colleagues in the library and across campus.

Responsibilities: Reporting to the Associate Dean for Digital Strategies and Services, the Northeastern Commons Coordinator serves as the principal liaison between the Northeastern Commons project and constituencies across the Global Campus Network. The Coordinator takes a leading role in shaping the Northeastern Commons platform and coordinates with colleagues from across campus in shaping the university's digital learning and workplace footprints. The Coordinator keeps the day-to-day activities of the Commons project running on schedule and facilitates participant use of the Commons. She/he develops and manages implementation plans and schedules, troubleshoots problems, coordinates programs and development and service expansion activities with affiliated liaison and developer staff, and creates appropriate documentation, training materials, and usage reports.
Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 3 years of successful experience working in a highly collaborative environment, preferably in an academic or non-profit research setting
Awareness of current issues in scholarly and collaborative practices
Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and deliver results in a fast-paced academic environment
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to formulate options, develop, and recommend solutions as part of a participatory and community-focused set of work practices
Excellent oral and written skills, ability to communicate across expertise levels, and prepare project documentation
Familiarity with WordPress and PHP programming desired
Salary Grade: 10
