The Student Health Services is seeking a Clinical Services Director . This is a full-time 1.00 FTE, 12-month, fixed term professional faculty position. Reappointment is at the discretion of the Executive Director
The Student Health Services (SHS) mission is to provide leadership for the health of the University community. This position contributes to the mission of SHS and the Division of Student Affairs through teamwork and collaboration, participation in organizational committees, University outreach, and contributing to the academic success of OSU students. The Clinical Services Director is a member of the Student Health Service Direct Reports and Advisory Teams, and will contribute to the overall decision-making processes concerning SHS organizational mission, vision, values, goals, objectives, policies and procedures. The Clinical Services Director is responsible for the overall supervision, evaluation, monitoring and provision of nursing, back office medical assisting, and radiology services at SHS.
This position is deemed essential and may be expected to report to work during inclement weather, emergency and other University work curtailments or closures. The position is expected to check in with their direct supervisor or unit leadership daily during University delays or closures to determine if they are required to report to work. The Clinical Services Director reports to the Executive Director, Student Health Services.
Typically requires Current RN license to practice in Oregon; BLS certification. At least two years experience working as a nursing supervisor.
Current RN license to practice in Oregon; BLS certification.
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
At least two years' experience working as a nursing manager with direct RN staff supervision, as well as problem solving, conflict resolution, program and project management.
At least five years' experience in an ambulatory and multi-disciplinary human healthcare environment as an RN.
At least five years' experience using an electronic medical record.
Experience with FERPA and/or HIPAA and a strong commitment to adhering to patient and student privacy and confidentiality laws, rules and regulations.
A demonstrable commitment to promoting, supporting and enhancing diversity, inclusion and social justice, including care for a diverse student and/or patient population.
A demonstrable ability to provide and promote excellent patient care within an organization. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
This position is designated as a critical, security-sensitive or safety-sensitive position; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a Criminal History Check and be deemed fit for duty at placement and while serving in the position.
