Pinellas Animal Hospital is a busy 5 doctor, AAHA Accredited, small animal practice, supported by 25 team members, (including 10 CVT's) located in Pinellas Park near St Petersburg, Florida. Pinellas Animal Hospital Key Points
We are a five doctor AAHA Accredited practice that has been in business since 1973 with a support staff of 25, which includes 10 certified technicians that are trained to utilize their complete skillset to assist the doctor in every way possible.
We have 6 exam rooms, each equipped with a computer and point of sale credit system, a large open reception area, private consultation room, modern treatment and surgery suite.
Hot Dog warming units for all surgeries, dental procedures and recovery patients.
Comprehensive In house Idexx Lab Suite
Our doctors have been part of our team for 52 yrs, 36 yrs, 16 yrs, 6yrs and 2 yr respectively with support team longevity also being significant.
Our doctors yearly earnings range between $93,000/yr up to $120,000/yr
A positive team culture plays an important role in our daily function, with a focus on support and understanding.
Our appointments run for a length of 30 minutes for Wellness and sick pet exams, with medical progress exams being 20 minutes.
On average each doctor sees approximately 12 appointments a day in the exam rooms, in addition to any drop off procedures admitted in the morning with discharge in the afternoons.
Working hours will average between approximately 32-36 hours a week. A weekly schedule is to be arranged and will include an assigned surgery and dentistry day.
Two years post graduate experience in small animal practice is preferred, but not necessary, along with the ability to work well within a team possessing strengths in the following areas:
A focus on effective client communication, with a genuine interest in small animals, up to and including birds (although not necessary).
A working knowledge of the latest veterinary technology and experience in general surgery would be advantageous.
The ability to embrace paperless technology and to apply it effectively in Cornerstone or the ability to quickly familiarize and absorb its function.
Ultrasound, Digital radiology, digital dental radiology.
Use of complete in-house Idexx lab machines.
Medicinal practice and diagnostics must be reflective of high quality medicine.
You will be supported by a well-trained interactive team, with full protocol familiarity, which includes the experience of 10 certified veterinary technicians.
Additional Salary Information: Salary negotiable, based upon experience.
