Posted Job Title Program Manager AJob Profile Title Manager Research Project AJob Description Summary A full-time research project manager is being sought to coordinate the clinical and translational research activities of the Melanoma program at the Abramson Cancer Center. Primary purpose of position is to coordinate melanoma studies, to enhance biospecimen collection, and to manage a large patient and tissue database. Primary functions include implementing and managing biospecimen collection; initiating and conducting participant recruitment and screening; collecting, tracking and entering data; coordinating biosample and related data collections and material transfers to relevant laboratories; preparing project reports; organizing melanoma clinical research meeting and melanoma Tumor Board, maintaining listing of all melanoma clinical studies with accrual data, and coordinating melanoma research across disciplines. A key responsibility will be to maintain the Melanoma Data Base and ensure high quality and fidelity of the data. Moreover, the manager will organize and compile requests for data or tissue to be reviewed by the Melanoma Research Committee and play a central role in extracting requested data from database and tissue availability in response to proposed research project queries. The manager should have prior experience with programming and working with large databases. Position will also involve revising and renewing as necessary tissue collection project protocol and supporting documents, performing regulatory activities for the project, coordinating with data collection and specimen processing staff, coordinating with key cancer center staff and resources and developing standard operating procedures.
