One Year Professor of Practice-Construction Management
Utica College, a small comprehensive college in Upstate New York, is seeking a one-year, non-tenure-track professor of practice in the field of Construction Management beginning August 1, 2020. The successful candidate will teach a variety of construction management courses to include Estimating, Methods and Materials, Planning and Scheduling, and Project Management and Safety, among others. The successful candidate will also bring their industry experience to bear upon the education of students in the undergraduate program.
The Construction Management program has a new building with state-of-the-art laboratory space, computer labs, and classrooms. The program has a unique culture that promotes comradery among the faculty, students, alumni, and members of the industry.

A Master’s degree in a construction discipline, dedication to teach and demonstrated skills as a teacher, and relevant industry-related experience in the U.S. are required. An earned doctorate in construction management or related field is preferred. Record of successful teaching experience at undergraduate level, previous experience with outcome-based assessment of learning outcomes, and previous experience in a construction management firm with all aspects of construction project delivery are preferred as well.
