The Initiative on Islam & Medicine at The University of Chicago is hiring for a summer Temporary Research Assistant position to work on a variety of projects spanning Muslim community-engaged health behaviors and bioethics research.
Manage and oversee of II&M communications through social media and listserv for a fundraising campaign. This will involve graphical design (via Canva) and logistical arrangements.
Literature review, quantitative (regression) analysis and and manuscript preparation for a community-engaged, religiously-tailored intervention to increase knowledge on living organ donation among Muslims.
Endnote database management, filing and collation of print materials, website tweaking, and general office tasks as needed.
Exceptional time-management and organizational skills evidenced by prior project coordination and project management experiences and/or community organizing activities.
Superb written and oral communication skills evidenced through prior manuscript preparation or thesis writing and experience in working with multidisciplinary project teams.
Education and Experience:
Masterâ™s degree and/or courses in a field relevant to the research (MSc/MPH).
One year of relevant research experience.
Prior experience in quantitative analysis.
Prior communications and social media management experience.
