The Director, Operational Excellence is responsible for helping evaluate and drive improvements in the operational efficacy and performance of all areas of the business with a primary focus on the areas directly impacting consumer, health plan and provider experiences. The successful Program Director will be a hands-on person capable of partnering with key business areas to rapidly diagnose opportunities and bring together cross-functional groups of individuals to design and implement sustainable solutions, including the necessary controls and operating metrics. The foundation of this work will be the research, design, and coordinated development of domain-level dashboards to ensure clarity of opportunities, priorities, and sustainable measurement of performance.
Essential Roles and Responsibilities
Systematically work through the myriad functions and processes of the company with the goal of creating an effective and efficient operating environment and “clean edged” interactions with consumers, health plans and provider partners.
Document various operating workflows, controls, and operating metrics in their “as is” and “to be” states; then drive the development and implementation of programs to migrate the company from the “as is” to the agreed upon “to be” state.
Document data needs to achieve agreed upon “to be” states and drive the acquisition and curation of the necessary data for analytics, management and reporting for each respective “to be” state.
Work collaboratively with business units, development, data, and reporting teams on the design, development and delivery of various business critical initiatives.
Shepherd and deliver standardized analytic framework across the organization. Transition company from reporting data points to craving insights and analysis; deliver action oriented reporting that helps the company make data-informed decisions and track return on investment and value.
Serve as product and project management lead for reporting and data teams; help to shape processes for intake and prioritization, collect requirements, and facilitate a high-quality delivery process

Education and Qualifications
BA/BS degree in business, engineering or related fields.
Minimum of 7-10 years experience in the areas of strategy, operations, process excellence, program and/or product management, etc.
Certification and/or experience in process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.) a strong plus.
Health plan experience and understanding of the healthcare ecosystem is highly desirable.
