This position will be responsible for bringing profitable sales leads to the company. This position will create and build client relationships across the industry. This will predominantly be a prospecting and business development role. Performing at the highest level in all aspects of the job.
Lead generation responsibilities
Uncover and develop leads through networking groups, A&D relationships, GC relationships, furniture dealers, affiliate companies, and other industry contacts.
Monitor lead websites to discover new projects and track existing projects
Engage and update the A&D Community with a project focused mindset
Present product updates/ lunch and learns/ ice cream tastings/ waffle breakfasts/ happy hours/ etc… for A&D firms and GC’s with a focus on engaging these firms regarding current or upcoming projects in our markets
Research and engage unfamiliar A&D firms to develop a relationship and update them on our offerings / learn about their upcoming projects
Develop and maintain relationships within the A&D market: become the point of contact and go to person for any storage needs and provide info, specs, drawings as needed
Track projects and monitor pipeline for geographical territory
Track all projects within geographical market and develop a game plan in conjunction with sales reps on how to best pursue each new project (*exception of military/ protected accounts)
Track projects as they progress and work with sales rep to ensure projects are moving down the pipeline without getting left behind
Utilizing relationships in the A&D community to assist sales reps in pursuing these projects
Engage with the marketing team to provide relevant content and ideas in an effort to better our presence with the A&D community
Provide digital assets and support for the sales team
Update the marketing team on projects in your territory with case study potential
Engage the A&D community through social media platforms and assist the marketing team in content development
Investigate new markets within territories
Investigate untapped markets within your geographical territory in search of potential new projects
Analyze changing trends in the market and innovative solutions to better position Patterson Pope
Assist sales reps in further pursuing and updating existing major accounts
Major corporations and company headquarters (facility managers, design departments, purchasing departments, etc…)
City/ county managers and planning departments
Investigate and partake in local industry networking groups
Update sales reps on upcoming events and networking opportunities

Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required;
Six months to one year of prior work experience.
Must enjoy client outreach and relationship building
Willingness to make prospecting and follow up sales calls via telephone, email, social media and in person
Strong work ethic including ability to work unsupervised
Passionate, motivated and HUNGRY TO SUCCEED
Excellent listening skills
Ability to identify and qualify leads
Proficiency with Salesforce
Strong skills using MS Office Suite, CRM software, social media
Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.
