Global Alternative Investments (GAI) is a division of WFII that administers and/or manages proprietary and non-proprietary alternative investment products and services including; option strategies, hedge funds, managed futures, commodities, private equity, private debt and private real estate offerings.
The primary responsibilities of the GAI Business Support Consultant 1 are to facilitate and manage the on-boarding process for new alternative investment (AI) products supported by the business, manage and coordinate receipt of ongoing reports and data from supported programs, and oversight of corresponding vendor engagements utilized to deliver alternative investment capabilities to Wells Fargo.
Additional duties include:
Facilitate and manage AI on-boarding for each firm supported product
Manage firm-supported AI reporting
Coordination with other business units (legal, risk, compliance, sales, operations) to address business support matters
Liaise with distribution channel partners to accurately report alternative investments
Assist with special projects related to business support initiatives
Assist with onboarding and implementation of Funds and new products
Manage a small team of Business Support Associates
As a Team Member Manager, you are expected to achieve success by leading yourself, your team, and the business. Specifically you will:
Lead your team with integrity and create an environment where your team members feel included, valued, and supported to do work that energizes them.
Accomplish management responsibilities which include sourcing and hiring talented team members, providing ongoing coaching and feedback, recognizing and developing team members, identifying and managing risks, and completing daily management tasks.
3+ year of experience in one or a combination of the following: administrative support, project management, implementation, business operations or strategic planning demonstrated through work or military experience
A BS/BA degree or higher
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Knowledge and understanding of financial industry alternative investment operations
Knowledge and understanding of database management, reporting, and analysis functions
Ability to manage a team
Vendor management experience
Other Desired Qualifications
Experience in risk management, quality control checks.
Experience with alternative investment (e.g., hedge fund, private equity and/or private real estate) administrative support
Experience with data management
Experience in onboarding new products
