Working in the Monitoring Team within Service Management Department in TEC-ESO, to support the Monitoring and Event Management tools development and administration.
Experienced administrator in monitoring tools (IBM Tivoli Monitoring, Omnibus/Netcool etc.), providing 3rd line support, environmental tuning, and architectural design and product roadmaps.
Support the design and management of the monitoring and event environment, ensuring system integrity and environment availability.
In this role, you will be responsible for Monitoring across MUFG's banking arm and securities business under a dual-hat arrangement. Under this arrangement, you will act and make decisions on behalf of both the bank and the securities business, subject to the same remit and level of authority, and irrespective of the entity which employs you.
Provide technical escalation and 3rd line troubleshooting for the tools and product sets managed by the team.
Create and maintain all support documents for the monitoring environment, including (but not limited to) operations guides, disaster recovery procedures and environment architecture records.
Monitor and tune environments to ensure optimum performance.
Plan and execute regular system functional design testing to ensure availability and reliability.
Co-work with Capacity and Availability Manager to provide environmental statistics and reporting functionality.
Provide Product Managers, Application and Infrastrcuture subject-matter experts, and Project Managers with solution design and implementation to meet specific infrastructure and application monitoring needs.
Actively participate in project delivery meetings and provide a technical evaluation of user requirements across multiple IT disciplines.
Act as an initial escalation point for junior staff, with the approach and ability to mentor, advise and help train the team in building confidence and requisite skills base.
Some evening and weekend working will be required.
Must have previous experience of administering large IBM Tivoli Monitoring environments.
Must have experience of administering an ITM 6.3 environment.
Any experience of managing Netcool/Omnibus 8 environment highly beneficial
Any experience of integrating monitoring tools with ServiceNow, or similar ITSM tool, highly beneficial
Any experience of managing ILMT highly beneficial
Any experience of managing OpManager highly beneficial

Demonstrable experience in most areas of responsibility stated above, with focus on design and delivery of infrastructure (hardware and application) monitoring and protection.
ITIL Foundation (or above) preferred.
