| Location: Hyde Park Campus Job Description: Job Summary: Conceptualize, design and deliver evidence-based English and Spanish language interventional curricula focused on parenting and child development for the TMW Center for Early Learning plus Public Health team, a social science research institute at the University of Chicago. Responsibilities: - Project manage planning and development of the curricula, including identifying learning needs and instructional goals of target audiences.
- Lead cultural adaptation, translation and building of Spanish-language curricula.
- Manage the development and maintenance of print, multimedia and web-based curricula resources.
- Ensure all content is in line with current research and updated for optimal user experience.
- Facilitate communication between organizations curriculum, research and implementation arms.
- Coordinate across research and implementation arms and senior leadership on behalf of the curriculum team.
- Design, build, manage and maintain database of visual elements.
- Manage and train research assistants on print and multimedia content generation.
- Review Spanish language translation and adaptions across organization.
Education and Experience: Education: - Masterâ™s degree in Child Development or related field plus three years of experience in the job offered or instructional design required.Â
Experience: - Three years of experience with: working with Spanish speaking populations; working in both Spanish and English; creating interventional bilingual curricula on parenting and child development; working in Social Science research institute; Adobe Creative Suite.
- Experience must include: video production and editing; professional video editing software.
- Proficiency in verbal and written English and Spanish.
Technical Knowledge or Skills: - Adobe Creative Suite including Premiere Pro (video editing), Illustrator, MS Project, Access.
