This is a part-time, 10-month position and part of the school’s computer science department.
Computer Science Courses
Grade 8 - Web Development ( or other meaningful application of coding skills)
Grades 9-12 - Web Development / App Development / Computer Programming and Robotics
Engage/Inspire/Prepare girls for complex problem solving / computational thinking.
Work closely with the Computer Science Department, sharing a genuine passion for the evolving curriculum and pedagogy.
Knowledge, Skills, Experience
The school seeks applicants who :
Have formal experience teaching children
Have experience designing, launching, and supporting computer science initiatives related to teaching and learning.
Have experience working with students of all levels, from novice to advanced
A bachelor's degree is required for this position.
Interested applicants should have a strong background and interest in technology and computer science. The successful candidate can teach a robust Middle and/or Upper School Computer Science curriculum, grades 6-12 (including digital citizenship, computer programming, robotics, 3D printing, app development, web development, and various maker activities).
Collegiality and an eagerness to collaborate with colleagues on advancing the school’s strategic initiatives are essential. We seek individuals who are eager to help build a lasting computer science program in grades 3-12. The successful candidate will collaborate with the computer science department to advance and ensure consistency of the program across all grade levels. You must be passionate about technology and computer science, collaborative, self-directed, have a great sense of humor, and must be willing to learn.
