What you will be doing:
Sr. Specialist Information Security Analyst - Phishing Testing & Cyber Awareness The BNY Mellon Wargames, Awareness, and Global Engagement(WAGE) team, as a part of the Information Security Division (ISD), supports BNYMellon's global operations. The WAGE team is responsible for fostering asecurity-aware culture across the organization via multiple channels, includingexperiential trainings (Wargames), awareness publications and presentations,and phishing email testing. Position Overview A successful candidate will be able to effectively plan,coordinate, and manage the operations of the bank's Global Anti-PhishingProgram (GAPP) and support the activities of the overall Global InformationSecurity Awareness program.
Coordinate tasks related to the analysis,planning, execution, and reporting phases of the GAPP
Communicate with stakeholders on the scheduling,testing, and execution of planned simulations
Perform data analysis on simulation results and examinetrends
Prepare and distribute data-driven reports forvarious audiences, including senior management
Manage post-phishing test communications
Deliver behavior-focused awareness presentationsto staff in person or online
Research, analyze, and develop creative awarenessmaterials based on current threats and best practices
Consults with other IT areas and the businesses and provides professional support for major components of the company's information security infrastructure
Contributes to the development and implementation of security architecture, standards, procedures and guidelines for multiple platforms
Consults with the business and operational infrastructure personnel regarding new and existing technologies
Recommends new security tools to management and reports and provides guidance and expertise in their implementation
Reviews and analyzes complex data and information to provide insights, conclusions and actionable recommendations provides direction and guidance on reports and analyses and ensures recommendations are aligned with customer/business needs and capabilities
Ensures that all significant security concerns are addressed
Recommends course of action to mitigate risk and ensures that appropriate standards are established and published
Contributes to the achievement of area objectives
Qualifications Who we are looking for:
Passion for cybersecurity!
Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required, advanced degree preferred
8-10 years of experience in information security or related technology experience required
Experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus
Basic understanding of cybersecurityfundamentals to enable collaboration with subject matter experts todevise, develop and implement realistic cyber exercise scenarios
Industry certifications such as CSX, CISM, orCompTIA Security+ a plus
Excellent verbal and written communicationskills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Strong project management skills
Capable of self-sufficient and self-motivatedwork ensuring both high-quality and timely delivery of finished products
Experience with presenting in person and/oronline
Experience with (or training in) informationsecurity
Experience with preparing and analyzing largedata sets, as well as reporting and presenting data takeaways for management andexecutives
Familiarity with established research sourcesand phishing simulation tools
Understanding of the BNY Mellon organizationpreferred
Digital design skills preferred
Experience with IT risk assessment andmanagement a plus
