INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGNER , Sloan School of Management-Instructional Technology and AV Support Services(ITSS) , to join a team responsible for improving teaching and learning in classroom, online, and blended learning environments. Will research and prepare for topics for course and content development; support a diverse group of faculty and constituents towards creation of online curricular content from initial consultation to project close; set project expectations and timelines with faculty and vendor partners; use adult learning theory, assessment, and other education principles to guide the development of online course content, assessments, and learning activities; collaborate with SMEs to develop/coordinate the development of instructional videos, images, audio, quizzes, tests, simulations, or other learning objects; consult with faculty to draft script, storyboard, knowledge checks, and associated lesson plans for any flipped classroom video content; and support and possibly manage relationships of internal and external partners, including studio/editing vendors, MIT technology partners, and faculty in creating appropriate content for online courses.
REQUIRED : bachelor's degree in a related field; at least three years' relevant experience; demonstrated curriculum and program design experience in higher education; demonstrated experience and proficiency with Canvas LMS, Zoom, Panopto, Macintosh and PC platforms, and Camtasia or similar technologies in a teacher role; demonstrated experience using learning management or course management systems; knowledge of and experience with authoring tools and educational technology standards; strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills; and experience developing and maintaining technical documentation, teaching/training one-on-one or in a group setting, and using technologies to design student-centered learning materials in a digital learning environment.
