Under the direction of the MIS Director, Decentralized, the incumbent will oversee the project management of key initiatives related to IT security, productivity, clinical systems, desktop support, and customer service within the Student Health Information Systems department.Â The project coordinator will be the primary point of contact for vendors for project and contract-related functions.Â The position will support the project life cycle of the Information Systems team to ensure team resources are booked to support timely delivery of enterprise IS projects. Â The position will be responsible for maintaining tools that keep teams appraised of progress towards milestones.Â The position will also provide general administrative support to ensure that upgrade and maintenance activities are coordinated with responsible team members.
Minimum Education:â¢Bachelorâs degree in Business Management or AdministrationMinimum Experience/Knowledge:â¢At least 1-3 years of project design or administrative experience with at least 2 years project related experience in a healthcare .environment preferably.â¢Demonstrated professional experience at a similar level of complexity, including responsibility for multiple or major projects management.â¢Knowledge in analyzing information, problems, situations and procedures to define objectives, identify patterns and formulate recommendations.â¢Demonstrated experience in organizing and defining tasks, setting priorities, working independently, and following through with minimal direction in order to perform effectively under conditions of frequent interruptions, fluctuating workloads, and conflicting time demands.â¢Demonstrated ability to handle confidential material with discretion.â¢Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective relations with widely diverse groups such as administrative and clinical staff members, executives, and faculty on a variety of complex issues and administrative tasks.â¢Demonstrated ability to establish constructive working relationships with members of departmental staff by performing duties in a cooperative and helpful manner.â¢Ability to communicate clearly and effectivelyâ¢Advanced skill in computer programs, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc. required.Preferred:â¢Experience with Adobe Creative Suiteâ¢Experience in healthcare environments (hospital or clinics)Required License/Certification:â¢Valid Fire and Safety Certification.
