The Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) Center of Excellence (CoE) is responsible for the strategic direction, tactical execution and day-to-day activities required to support the DCIM application suite and the reporting deliverables used by DCIM, Data Center Management (DCM), Corporate Properties Group (CPG) and other key stakeholders to identify opportunities and to implement actions to optimize thermal and capacity management in order to increase efficiency and reduce cost.
DCIM is part of the Data Center Planning and Engineering (DCPE) group whose responsibility it is to provide Structured Cabling (layer 1 - copper and fiber connectivity) design and Raised Floor (space/power) planning services to the Wells Fargo EDCM Data Centers across the enterprise. The impact this group has on the overall ETI enterprise is to optimize the use of space/power/cabling in our critical facilities, ensuring that we utilize these extremely expensive resources effectively.
By supporting the DCIM application portfolio, this position ensures the life cycle of these tools is managed in a common way, while ensuring daily operations, change requests, upgrade roadmaps, user administration, and vendor interfaces are managed holistically and operating costs are minimized. This position reports to the DCIM Manager.
This BSC5 role will act as a lead application consultant and administrator by providing technical guidance and subject matter expertise for the products within the DCIM application suite. This role will:
Act as a liaison between client area and technical organization by planning, conducting, and directing the analysis of highly complex business problems to be solved with automated systems.
Provide technical assistance in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet business requirements.
Work with user groups to provide training, resolve questions, assess user needs, and recommend changes.
Prepare specifications for system changes.
Recommend and initiates systems testing.
Act as an internal consultant within technology and business groups by using quality tools and process definition/improvement to re-engineer technical processes for greater efficiencies.
Provide direction and guidance to less experienced staff.
Be responsible for performing configuration, testing, implementation, and end-user support of DCIM applications used by DCM and other key stakeholders;
Performs diagnosis of program errors and implements solutions for resolution;
Identify and lead the resolution of complex production issues;
Assist, or lead, in the development of timelines and cost estimates for new product releases, feature and maintenance releases;
Understand and design application and data integration models;
Act as the single point of contact and technical expert in identifying and tracking product issues, bugs, enhancements, and workarounds, ensuring that Change Requests (CRs) are managed to make updates and corrections as required;
Act as a product SME, troubleshooting software issues, from user permissions and access, to "how to" questions, analyzing unexpected results, failed functions, data imports and exports, execution of all report systems and templates, and general operational maintenance;
Maintain a highly collaborative relationship with application stakeholders within DCM and CPG, external software vendors, internal procurement partners, the application support team, and others who use and support the DCIM application suite;
Use SQL development skills to build and execute queries, perform data analysis, and create enterprise reporting results that support optimization and saving efforts in core/regional/satellite Data Center;
Contribute to product and strategy development and application road-mapping for the applications within the DCIM suite;
Consult with DCM management, and other DCM key users and recommend process and procedure improvements and cost savings;

7+ years of business systems analysis experience, business systems design experience, or a combination of both
3+ years of technology delivery and relationship management experience with small and large business units in a large corporate environment
2 + years of technology application management experience
2+ years of experience with data analysis and documentation
1+ year of data center experience
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
A BS/BA degree or higher
Technology application administration exposure; preferably within Wells Fargo
Knowledge and understanding of technology installation: testing, maintenance and integration
Knowledge and understanding of implementing technology applications
Knowledge and understanding of application lifecycle, from design and development to testing, implementation and production support
Ability to manage mission critical or highly available platforms or applications

Other Desired Qualifications
Certified Data Center Management Professional (or similar) certification.
Enterprise Data Center management experience in financial services.
Working knowledge of Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) tools.
Working knowledge of NetZoom, Centerscape (RFCode), Obtain, DARE, Modius OpenData, WebCTRL, HDDT.
Understanding of Data Center capacity, power and thermal management.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important.
Experience identifying, troubleshooting and tracking software and system issues.
Ability to work with support team members to coordinate enterprise changes and ensure fixes are rolled out across the entire enterprise.
Experience working with SQL queries, excel templates and reporting tools and the ability to perform data collection and analysis.
Ability to ensure software is accurate, reporting consistently across all Data Centers and data integrity is present.
Experience designing product enhancements and working with vendor to develop and implement future version changes of the product(s).
Ability to create and maintain business-side application requirements, process documentation, bulletins, service notes, updates, etc.
Experience creating/updating/maintaining BCP plans, security plans, licensing documentation to keep current and accurate.
Knowledge and understanding of technology project management: large, cross platform projects and programs.
Ability to perform research on industry trends and direction, including evaluating functions within Data Center management software for possible integration into existing critical Data Center software.
Ability to travel up to 5% of the time
