The Division of College Advancement at the State University of New York College at Oneonta invites applications for the position of Assistant Director, Advancement Services. Reporting to the Director of Development and Donor Relations, expectations include oversight and supervision of the daily processing, reporting, and depositing of all contributions to the College at Oneonta Foundation and assist with various stewardship reports and publications.
The Division of College Advancement develops relationships and secures resources that enable the College to achieve its vision and mission by engaging current and retired faculty and staff, alumni, students, corporations, foundations, government entities and friends of the College. Duties include but not limited to: oversee the daily processing, recording, and depositing of all contributions to the College at Oneonta Foundation, including the supervision of data-entry staff members; ensure that appropriate receipts are distributed to donors for tax-deductible contributions in an accurate and timely manner; serve as project manager for the annual endowed scholarship reports, including the collection of all necessary financial data; lead or assist with the planning and implementation of fundraising and donor events; produce and assist with various stewardship reports and publications, including the annual wall calendar, pledge reminders, annual tax receipts, and donor postcards; and assist with the maintenance and updating of College Advancement and College Foundation web pages.
Required qualifications: bachelor's degree; experience utilizing a customer relationship management (CRM) database or related computer system; experience in fundraising, marketing, public relations or a related field; excellent analytical and data-analysis skills; and experience with Microsoft Office Suite products.
Preferred: experience working with Blackbaud's The Raiser's Edge CRM; experience supervising data- and/or gift-entry professionals; ability to work both independently and in a team environment; and experience working with and serving diverse populations.
