The Weekend Producer / ATC writer produces Weekend Edition on Saturday and Sunday mornings and is the main writer for All Things Considered three afternoon / evenings on week days each week. Weekend morning producing duties include researching news stories, writing news stories, writing digital copy, assigning stories to WBUR reporters, conducting interviews, editing audio tape, selecting stories to cover, curating news stories furnished by NPR and deciding which stories to include on WBUR and which stories to be replaced by local content. ATC writing duties include research, writing for radio and for digital platforms, conducting interviews, editing audio, processing news and helping to coordinate WBUR's afternoon and evening. This producer also fills in as Morning Edition Producer and All Things Considered Producer.
Bachelor's degree required with at least three to five years of related work experience.
