Specifically, the Online Adjunct will be expected to facilitate: - Application of data, information and knowledge in healthcare informatics to find solutions at the local, national and international levels.
- Information technology, informatics concepts, and methods to improve healthcare delivery and outcomes.
- Effective communication between information technology and healthcare professionals to assess their needs and constraints and to implement appropriate informatics-related interventions.
- Evaluation of healthcare informatics policy, including the application of concepts related to health policy analysis.
- Current trends in information technology and their application to healthcare quality, efficiency, and cost.
- Creation and implementation of organizational strategic plans, utilizing concepts related to project management and change management.
- Public health, informatics, telehealth, and population health to improve healthcare quality in a population.
- Evaluation of big data sets.
- Importance of standard terminology in the setting of data reporting and clinical decision support systems.
- Research methods to appropriately conduct research using healthcare informatics data.
