This a part-time, non-tenure position which is appointed on a per semester basis.
Teach 3 or 6 credits per semester of undergraduate courses in one or more of the following areas: 2D animation, motion graphics, website design, multimedia design, and interaction design.
Applicants should demonstrate in-depth and professional knowledge of contemporary screen-based design, computer graphics, and graphic design.
Integrate the core values of respect, compassion, integrity, justice and service in all aspects of interaction.
Master's degree in Graphic Design, Digital Design, Web Design or similar. M.F.A. preferred.
High level of competence in website and interaction design and/or video and sound editing.
Competence in using digital software for multimedia and print, especially Adobe Creative Suite.
Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary design theory and practice.
Demonstrated successful teaching experience at the college/university level.
Ability to teach in a studio format.
Experience using learning management systems, such as Blackboard.
