The Ball State University Foundation welcomes applications for an Enterprise Technology Manager. The Enterprise Technology Manager is a strategic partner within the Foundation and Advancement Services teams, balancing technical understanding and expertise with the ability to execute and communicate sound business processes in support of Foundation and Advancement objectives. Works to develop a strong reporting architecture while collaboratively with Advancement Services team and Foundation leaders to deliver reliable reports, analytics, secure systems, and efficient processes.
Reporting to the Division of Information Technology, the Enterprise Technology Manager develops, writes and executes software applications and reports for various constituencies within the Foundation using experience with SQL, Azure and reporting tools. Provide systems and platform support for all Foundation systems; manage desktop support and computer replacement plan.
Minimum qualifications: 1. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution OR 2. Associate’s degree and two years of related experience will be accepted in lieu of a bachelor’s degree. Two years of experience in data analytics and two years of experience in a fundraising environment. Experience with SQL queries and Excel. Experience working with relational databases, extracting and manipulating data, preferably using programming language such as SQL. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage large volumes of data in an accurate and meaningful way. Ability to develop test solutions and ensure projects meet business requirements. Ability to present and validate solutions with business partners. Ability to independently mine data to translate business data needs into creative and actionable reports and visualizations. Self-starter; detail oriented; possess strong organizational skills; excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse groups of individuals; proven ability to use Microsoft Office.

Preferred qualifications: Master’s degree; project management certification. Experience in higher education advancement information systems; experience cultivating vendor and partner relationships; experience with establishing and maintaining information security controls, including procedures and systems; experience gathering requirements and establishing universal definitions in support of key performance indicators, metrics, and other related measures. Experience in a PCI compliant environment. Repeated leadership of cross-department working groups with a focus on consensus building and teamwork; ability to strategically plan for systems integrations and deployment of IT products and services; working knowledge of SQL.
