Founded in 1880, the Michigan Funeral Directors Association (MFDA) is the nation’s oldest organization of funeral professionals. The MFDA is a private professional association representing over two-thirds of all funeral homes in Michigan. MFDA aims to enhance the value of funeral services and the profession through government advocacy, public information, professional education, and member communication programs. The MFDA Services Corporation offers members employee benefit options, as well as, the state’s premier prepaid funeral financing plans.
MFDA is looking for a Program Administrator to manage these premier prepaid program options. Areas of responsibility will include program compliance, member education and participation, claims support, information processing, data analysis and program reporting. The Program Administrator has the opportunity to work in a family-oriented role that supports and engages with many stakeholders to solve challenges. Duties and Responsibilities (including, but not limited to)
Serves as primary contact for association members on prepaid funeral program information, processing of claims, and related questions to ensure member satisfaction.
Completes daily data entry and review of contracts. Performs data audits.
Manages relationship with third party administrator to ensure effective operations and communication.
Works with third party administrator, investment firm, and other stakeholders to provide analysis on trends, program utilization, and other reporting needs.
Facilitates claim process between insurance companies and funeral homes at time of need.
Presents program status and updates to the Board of Directors through reporting and presentations.
Creates, provides, and delivers educational and marketing materials to members and community stakeholders.
Responds to individual contract holders to ensure understanding and compliance.
Maintains compliance with program record keeping requirements.
Maintains awareness of pending changes in laws and regulations. Works with Executive Director to incorporate changes into programs and updates members as needed.
Looks for opportunities to continuously improve programs and market programs to new audiences.
Helps with preparation for and participates in annual convention and trade show.

High school diploma or equivalent. 3-5 years of program or project management. Strong experience in member or customer service and education. Experience with data analysis, reporting and presentations preferred.
