Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Program Manager for the Pediatrics Department at the Rutgers, Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.
The successful candidate will be a key part of the management team of the PopQuIS Division. As the team grows this person will have management responsibilities for select research and program staff. The position will be funded with both external grant funds and institutional funds and the division of responsibilities across program management and project management as well as the funding mix will change with development of the Division, changes in program structures, in accordance with available resources.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Plans, supervises, and manages the support functions of the division to make maximum effective utilization of employees and materials within budgetary requirements, as well as provide assistance and supervision to members of the division’s office.
Responsible for the planning, coordination and management of the division’s office. In addition, manages specific projects assigned by the division director.
Assists in scheduling the activities associated with the position, including in the completion of grant budget proposals, submission of grants, and monitoring of pre and post award budgets.
Participates in research, policy dissemination, and policy formulation related to key topics in areas such as child/family health, population or community health, and policy.
Works in collaboration with faculty, physicians, nurses, hospital leadership, and stakeholders at the local, state, and national levels to accomplish Departmental and Divisional goals.
Minimum Education and Experience:
3-5 years of experience including research, operations, and grants management.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong understanding of financial, research and operations systems.
Experienced with operations, data management, and continuous quality improvement.
Experience in academic environment and/or health care environment.
Master's Degree in Public Policy, Public or Health Administration, or Public Health.
With additional experience, exceptional candidates with Bachelor's Degrees in related fields will be considered.
Experience with Quality and Safety, Measurement, and or population health.
Must have superior motivational skills and the capacity to manage teams effectively.
The staff member should have demonstrated ability to achieve results both independently and working with a team.
Looking for an individual with experience working in a fast-paced office and adapting to changing priorities on a deadline.
