In partnership with VP, provides overall strategic leadership to ensure Disease Area Development Program business deliverables are achieved according to portfolio plan.
Assists VP in identifying key areas of focus and metrics for department success
Prepares Disease Area internal and external communications as needed
Ensures GCD team's comprehensive understanding of key information including proposals, contractual agreements, etc. in preparation for key interactions with external collaborators
Facilitates alignment with Executive Management on Disease Area strategic plans/proposals
Conducts Disease Area research, reviews benchmarking, analyzes data and makes recommendations
Providing presentation summaries for VP and other Sr. Leaders on status of Disease Area program.
Creates & updates dashboards for reviewing key performance indicators for disease area
Assesses team's bandwidths and resources and identifies operational support to meet business need
Integrates quickly into the department and assesses issues that serve as a barrier to the Disease area GCD team to operate at maximum effectiveness
Support preparation and communication of GCD perspective and contribution to larger organizational initiatives
Oversees Disease Area portfolio timelines and corporate goals and tracks achievements; liaises with applicable functional leads to identify potential program risks and communicate to senior leadership mitigation & remediation plans
Gains internal agreements for the Asset development schedule, with specific emphasis on clinical program and regulatory planning.
Convenes cross-functional strategic planning meetings with functional leads to ensure continued alignment on development program plans for Disease Area Assets.
Plans Disease Area meetings and step backs
Oversees the planning for pre-defined Governance checkpoints for Disease Area Assets that progress through the company's development and regulatory filing pathway.
M.D. or Ph.D. preferred, Master's degree required
10+ years of pharma experience Preferred:
Experience managing, leading, and coaching a team
Experience in project management
