This position is in the Health Department. OPEN UNTIL FILLED. Salary Grade: U3
This position will assist in the development and management of an epidemiology program with the Pima County Health Department and will actively supervise a team of professional epidemiologists focused on public health impacts of a broad array of environmental, systemic and individual factors. This classification plans, organizes, manages and coordinates complex programs for a department or special program, which may include supervision of professional and support staff. It is distinguished from other administrative and managerial classes by its specialization in a specific area. This classification is in the unclassified service and is exempt from the Pima County Merit System Rules.
A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with an academic major in a health related field plus significant professional experience in management in a specified specialty area.

Preferred Qualifications (Be specific in describing your experience in your application. Ensure the descriptions provided illustrate your competencies, specifically addressing the required and preferred qualifications.):
Master's degree in epidemiology, public health or closely related field.
Supervisory or managerial experience in public health, data management or epidemiology.
Local health department epidemiology experience.
Program development experience.
