The One-Stop Manager is an experienced professional with skills in facilities operations, project management, administration and supervision. The tasks require negotiation and communication skills, organizational abilities, customer service skills, flexibility and time management. The One Stop Manager maintains effective relationships with One-Stop partners, builds relationships with community agencies and employers that will enhance the available service continuum for job seekers, workers and businesses.
Responsibilities (Either performed directly or through supervising staff)
Supports, facilitates and assists partners working together to address agreed upon service integration objectives.
Follows federal and state regulations pertaining to the handling of EEO responsibilities, customer complaints, and physical and programmatic accessibility.
Establishes or enhances existing policies and procedures for center operations.
Ensure a positive customer experience with the One Stop Center.
Assists in establishing linkages with other community service-related agencies.
Facilitates completion of the One-Stop Center certification.
Supervises staff to meet or exceed contract goals.
Monitors service delivery and continues to use established reporting procedures so data is provided on overall center operations.
Continues to deploy the existing/enhanced customer referral methods and corresponding tracking tools for reporting on center/customer activity.
Convenes partners on a regular and as needed basis, identifies agenda items, manages and distributes agenda, and creates subsequent “to do” items from the meeting.
Establishes and manages customer flow and service access in conjunction with the One-Stop partners to ensure clients are receiving appropriate and desired services.
Facilitates and delivers cross-training of staff across partners.
Supports and participates in business services and career services teams to enhance the coordination, information sharing and management, recruitment and service delivery in conjunction with the One-Stop partners.
Maintains central coordinated calendar and schedule of activities, partner directories and other information across the Center, satellite sites and partner programs.
Maintains knowledge of partner services, intake/eligibility requirements, hours of operation, etc.
Ensures brochures, pamphlets, forms and other informational materials are available in the One-Stop and on-line for each partner agency and develops joint One-Stop marketing materials.
Manages staff that serve as primary technical assistants to customers utilizing the Center resource room including online tools provided by partners, conducting job searches, completing job applications, email and login sites, etc.
Manages staff that deliver other services in the Center resource room including facilitating customer access to workforce development information and materials, labor market information, basic career guidance, job search tools, resume development, etc.
The position requires a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or alternatively, this position requires a minimum of five years’ experience in workforce development regularly connecting with WIOA customers and employers. Previous experience and knowledge of WIOA One-Stop Partner programs is heavily preferred. Candidate must have the ability to maintain a leadership role with excellent verbal and written communication skills; supervise staff who interact with the general public, and manage partnerships. This position requires familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, (e.g., Word, PowerPoint and Excel). Must possess a valid Driver’s License and have access to a reliable vehicle. Some evening and weekend hours may be required.
