Job Description Purpose:
As a HR Business Partner (HRBP) you will provide both strategic and operational Human Resources consultation/advice and support to MFS Distribution business. This exciting role gives you the opportunity to work with senior business leaders as well as specialists in HR Centers of Expertise (COE) to educate, advise and coaches client groups on issues involving, but not limited to, workforce planning, organizational development, succession planning, performance management, learning and development, talent acquisition and compensation.
Principle Responsibilities :
Assists with and influences the implementation of global HR initiatives to support and drive the business goals. Is part of the business management teams.
Works with managers on current and future staffing requirements. Works closely with the talent acquisition team to support this hiring and onboarding of new talent
Conduct talent reviews, and development planning session with leadership team and works with business on succession plans.
Challenges and supports the diversity agenda
Supports and facilitates organizational change by seeking and developing ways for the client group to be more effective. Helps to build an organizational capacity for change.
Maintains regular contact with business leaders to deliver the people plan, address questions and concerns and to ensure quality service is provided. Works with HR, Legal, department heads, etc. to resolve complex problems.
Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory and policy compliance. Interprets and executes all applicable HR policies to ensure employees have a good working knowledge of all corporate policies
Provides guidance to managers and employees regarding interpretation of company policies and procedures.
Ensures business unit procedures are consistent with company values, philosophies, concepts, principles, employment law, and regulations.
Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to business unit heads and department leaders (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
Works closely with business line/department management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase employee commitment, engagement, productivity and retention.
Works with ER consultant, managers, and employees to facilitate a broad and diverse ER issues (harassment, grievances, etc.). Interacts with members of Legal (both internal and external) and hands off to HRER to bring resolution to ER casework.
Leverage HR technology tools with reports and analyzes trends and metrics for management team and Workforce Planning initiatives.
Liaises with HR Compensation to obtain benchmark data. Works closely with managers to draft and edit new or revised job descriptions and facilitates the evaluation process with HR Compensation. Manage the annual compensation review with select business units including compensation changes, bonus allocations and promotions.
Acts as HRBP representation on cross function HR Projects
Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
5-7 years of experience of acting as an HRBP in a global organization collaborating with the business and providing service to employees and managers in various capacities, which span across several HR disciplines.
Effective HRBP skills, relationship management, negotiation and consultative skills crossing borders and cultures at the upper and middle management levels.
Ability to translate strategies and plans into actions (strategic and tactical competencies) ability to assess and analyze global business issues to determine appropriate solutions. Ability to influence across all levels in the company and work with employees across all levels.
Operational experience in Human Resources providing service to employees and managers in various capacities. Ability to work with employees at all organizational levels.
Project management experience
Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Ability to handle information in a manner, which protects confidentiality.
Independent problem solver who presents solutions and takes initiative.
Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills. Strong ability to multi-task and attention to detail.
Coaching or HR qualifications
Worked in the financial services sector and experience of implementing regulatory change programs.
