Job Description Summary: The Donor Relations & Engagement Coordinator is responsible for designing, implementing, and directing an integrated and comprehensive donor engagement program that consistently promotes interaction and connection with and recognition of donors at all levels. The incumbent is a forward-thinking, innovative and energetic professional with proven success in donor engagement and program management, capable of developing and orchestrating the implementation of a multi-year plan to advance institutional efforts.
The Coordinator works closely with others in Advancement, major gift officers, the Chancellor's office, deans and academic/administrative department heads.
Minimum Qualifications Bachelors Degree required Professional experience that includes campaign planning and execution, preferably in a higher education setting Superb verbal and written communication skills, with excellent organization and prioritization skills Project management experience and a track record of meeting deadlines and high quality delivery in cross-functional team environments The ability to work with a diverse range of partners, including donors, board members and volunteers as well as alumni, faculty, administrators and internal colleagues Self-motivated, thought leader with high energy and the ability to thrive in a high-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications Relationship management with donors in a nonprofit environment Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) is a plus Cross-functional project management and business administration experience a plus
Essential Duties Serve as a member of the Advancement Team, reporting to the AVP of Development Develop and oversee dashboards to trac k prospect plan updates, specific responsibility for high-touch management of Chancellor and executive leaderships prospect and campaign engagement plans In coordination with other departments, create strategies for developing donor relations/stewardship standards across campus for the purpose of creating an energetic and enthusiastic culture of philanthropy Partner with leadership, annual and major gift officers to identify top 100 stewardship prospects Manage, monitor and update the engagement plan of task status; drive and ensure progress against deadlines Manage engagement status meetings, ensure agendas are set and required materials are prepared Collaborate with colleagues across Office of Advancement to collect updates on progress and address or mitigate risk of roadblocks to progress Assist Associate Vice President, Advancement in managing standing donor and prospect reviews, campaign planning meetings Partner with Development Officers to understand unit-specific fundraising planning actions and timelines Develop and manage opportunity pipelines for specific initiatives in preparation for pending campaign Execute communication plan across internal stakeholders to ensure close alignment
