NET, Nebraska’s PBS & NPR Stations is looking for a professional who will be responsible for managing the education team and projects. Must have the ability to conduct research, plan and implement educational services for targeted groups which may include: early childhood families and children, K-12, adult education/workforce, and audiences who access online educational resources.
Must possess strong communication, project and management skills and the ability to engage and work collaboratively across internal departments as well as community partners. Identify areas to improve usage and effectiveness of resources and materials from NET/PBS to successfully serve students, teachers, and parents. Ability to manage multiple projects and to determine the most successful strategies to reach a variety of audiences.
Actively manages education personnel and resources and recommends changes for continual improvement to maximize relevance, use, impact, efficiencies and effectiveness. Develop curriculum as needed. Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
Develops and administers the annual operating budgets of education projects and services to ensure compliance with Nebraska educational standards and with agency policies and procedures.
Works closely with the Nebraska State Department of Education curriculum specialists and other community partners across the state to determine the most effective ways to serve Nebraska's children, parents, teachers and communities. Position may include overnight travel and irregular hours.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Education, family studies, literacy or related field plus five (5) year's progressive experience in an education with emphasis in project management and leadership; equivalent education/experience will be considered. Excellent planning and project management skills, strong positive interpersonal skills, ability to write reports and assist in identifying and writing grant proposals- excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience managing and leading a team. Knowledge of principles, theories, practices, method and techniques used in education; including early childhood, K-12 and adult learning; Knowledge of current technologies and trends in early childhood education; Familiarity with the use of technology and media in learning environments; Ability to interact and communicate effectively with children and adults from different cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds; Familiarity with public media and/or educational non-profit organizations; Understanding of PBS resources and target audiences; Experience and familiarity with technology, ability to use and troubleshoot tablet based apps, social media, and internet navigation. Design, deliver, teach and evaluate NET education workshops and presentations; Supervise and evaluate the development and delivery of training provided by staff and community partners. Ability to travel.

Ideal candidate will have a Master's degree. Preferably with an emphasis in education. Experience in project management, Classroom teaching. Bi-lingual Spanish speaking is a plus.
