The Role Responsibilities
Serve as data integration subject matter expert and demonstrate an understanding of key data management principles particularly within Finance and Risk domain
Assist in data quality controls, data accuracy, end-to-end data lineage testing and data remediation plus user acceptance.
Provide metadata updates to various Finance and Risk systems for their solution analysis so that change impact is comprehensive analyzed across the end-to-end process
Manage and escalate risks and issues relating to finance and risk data. The role will involve working on project deliveries as well as on smaller enhancements.
Perform any necessary data mapping, data lineage activities and document end-to-end information flows
Assist in data discovery and data optimization across Finance and Risk systems.
Delegate project tasks based on members' individual strengths, skill sets and experience levels
Communicate project progress and status to the relevant stakeholders
Maintain strong stakeholder engagement with relevant group PMs, Change team, Business and operations team to ensure alignment across stakeholder groups
Escalate appropriately to ensure necessary decisions are made in a timely manner
Drive continuous improvement
Gather and document user requirements, prepare user specifications of data requirements and reports, including analysing data gaps and data specifications from the business or end users perspective
Act as a SME in the respective domains with sufficient knowledge to interact, solicit requirements, and advise business users
Work very closely with business users and Lead solutioning effort and help develop compelling and innovative solutions while complying with existing standards, guidelines, and processes
Communicate user requirements to, and work closely with system developers , Technical testers and domain testers
Collaborate with IT teams to resolve issues. Work with Solution Architects, Data Modelers, Systems Analysts, and Source system support teams to produce high quality deliverables
Perform documentation deliverables for inventories (report / EUC / manual processes), priority reports, Risk measures and data elements including lineage, report specifications for BAU and crisis reports; ensuring high quality of documentation in a level of detail
Track status on progress and provide timely updates of projects status according to Agile Methodology;
Be involved in monthly preparation, review and analysis of the regulatory returns in accordance with the accounting standards, Group accounting policies and local regulatory requirements;

Provide mentoring and support as required across the team
Articulate in a timely fashion the project risks and corresponding mitigation and contingency plans
Ensure that this role is managed in accordance with the defined views on policies and standards, and that issues are identified, escalated, and addressed as appropriate.

Our Ideal Candidate
Must demonstrate knowledge and/or experience of the organization's system environment (especially finance and risk domain), with a strong understanding of interoperability.
Possess a good balance between being detail-oriented and setting direction/approach
Good understanding of banking domains and regulatory reporting
Knowledge of finance/risk concepts and principles would be beneficial.
Excellent communication skills; an experienced negotiator who manages to align different visions;
Ability to collaborate with both business and technology stream.
Must possess knowledge of the importance of quality in data content and Service Management processes.
Have an understanding of the benefits of information systems that extends beyond the technology to the improvement and re-engineering of critical processes
Prior knowledge of SCB systems and SDLC methodology preferred
Hands on experience in working on AxiomSL systems implementations and testing as an end user preferred;
Hands on experience in MAS regulatory reporting , HKMA Reporting, IFRS9 Standards,PRA reporting and Taxonomy based mapping and reporting .
Knowledge of and experience with Statutory and Regulatory Reporting Regulations - CRD IV Reporting Basel3 reporting(COREP,LCR,NSFR,Liquiditymetrics) DNB/EBA regulatory reporting,Financial Accounting, FINREP.
experience in technical skills like SQL , Data warehousing , Extract transformation(ETL)
Knowledge of and experience with Change delivery (intake, impact analysis, configuration, testing)
Strong quantitative and analytical skills; meticulous and comfortable dealing with high volume of data and financial numbers;
Independent and resourceful in handling issues with minimum supervision.
Deep understanding of the financial instruments & Products
Knowledge & understanding of Financial accounting & reconciliation, Chart of Accounts & consolidation.
