The Senior Program Manager plans, manages and oversees all aspects of the research programs and activities as defined by the BU Clinical & Translational Science Institute's Community Engagement (CE) Core across all BU campuses. Programs include but are not limited to: consultation service for BU/BMC investigators, CE trainings and workshops, Boston Health Equity Research Network (a practice based research network), Patient and Community Advisory Panels, and the MA CE Research Network. Responsibilities to these program includes creation and management of budgets and the management of staff to ensure all activities and processes are congruent with CTSI's mission, commitments and goals. The Project Manager works closely with the Community Engagement Director(s), Unit Director/PI and often other departments to ensure that the scope and direction of each project is on schedule. This role establishes and maintains community relationships and partnerships to achieve the Unit's and projects' missions and represents the Unit on appropriate community and health councils, coalitions and alliances.
Master's degree in Public Health, Education or Social Work. 3-5 years previous work experience in community program delivery preferably in both the non-profit health sector and academic research setting. This position must be able to work well with a great variety of people, from community members within the communities surrounding BMC, to students, research staff and Principal Investigators.
