Reporting directly to the Chief Compliance Officer, you will:
Report directly to the CCO
Oversee the Bank's compliance policies and procedures
Work closely with compliance colleagues in international branches, holding regular inter-branch compliance meetings, attending on-site compliance visits
Work closely with those branches on their internal control assessment plans, and lead the assessment of those branches
Work closely with internal auditors, recording weaknesses in a central register, then coordinating and driving forward the implementation of any rectification with the relevant teams
Provide periodic reporting to Head Office
Lead compliance projects including responses to regulatory changes and process enhancements
Monitor and disseminate regulatory developments, providing training internally, both formally and informally through coaching
Continually work to improve internal policies and procedures, and ensure they respond and reflect industry changes and best practice
Provide support to compliance colleagues in your team
To be considered for this varied, stimulating and demanding position, you will:
Possess excellent communication skills, with fluent English
Possess several years' relevant experience in the field of compliance, ideally with at least 5-10 years' experience (Those with slightly less experience may be considered, if the experience is very strong)
Ideally have insight or experience of corporate investment banking activity
Be experienced at liaising with management level colleagues, whilst also providing supervisory support and guidance to others
