We are looking for a Principal Project Manager, Public Markets to drive technology innovation in GIC's External Managers Department, which identifies and invests in the best global public markets investment managers. The EMD team believes that technology can help us scale our operations while improving our ability to meet our risk and return goals. This PM will partner with investing and operations colleagues to come up with a vision and plans to get us there. The PM will create and manage a roadmap which balances short- and long-term needs and maximizes opportunities to learn and gather feedback. The PM will lead a dedicated internal scrum team including engineering and data science, and will have access to outsourced supplementary resources as needed. To be successful in this role, the PM will need to act as a thought partner to the business on how to transform not only technology, but the business processes around it.
Establish shared vision with the business on how technology will help accelerate and enhance the investing process
Manage roadmap and communicate regularly to stakeholders about plans, timelines, and status
Drive a product team including engineers, data scientists, and analysts to create prototypes and build enterprise-grade software
Deeply understand (internal) customer and user needs using a range of UX research methodologies
Track external technologies or vendor solutions which could help the team achieve its goals; run vendor selection processes as appropriate
Track adoption and effectiveness of products using quantitative data and qualitative feedback
Continually improve development processes using Agile methodologies
Relevant Bachelor's or Master's degree;
At least 8 years of experience in Product Management with strong track record of successful product delivery, preferably in the financial and fund allocation space;
Exceptional communication and engagement skills with the ability to inspire and motivate change;
Skill at managing business and IT stakeholder groups with tact, assertiveness and diplomacy;
