The Associate Director of Summer Term works with the Director to develop, manage, and evaluate Boston University Summer Term, a University-wide academic program of over 700 courses and 7500 students. The Associate Director is directly responsible for overseeing the Summer Term pre-college programs, which enroll over 1000 high school students each summer. This includes supervising all academic, financial, marketing and student life aspects of the programs. The Associate Director also develops and maintains academic relationships with faculty and staff across the University related to Summer planning and curriculum. Additional responsibilities include working with information technology and the marketing department on Summer Term issues.
Master's Degree, PhD preferred. Professionalism, attention to detail, diplomacy, creativity, and enthusiasm, and at least eight years of professional experience with a minimum of 3 years experience in program administration, preferably with high school and college-aged students. Some evening and weekend hours are necessary.
