AAP is seeking a temporary (remote) employee through the month of May, possibly longer. The Learning Management System (LMS) Specialist is tasked with creating engaging learning activities and compelling course content for AAP members and other professionals in the specialty of physical medicine and rehabilitation (PM&R). The Specialist will work with physiatry subject matter experts (SME) and identify and implement target audience training needs.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work with the Education Director and the Education Committee to create cutting edge products to assist members in complying with continuing medical education (CME) requirements.
Create CME activities through the Oasis learning management system (LMS), including webinars, podcasts, and self-assessments and post on the AAP Virtual Campus.
Manage the LMS and produce/manage certificates for continuing medical education for all activities.
Collect questions from AAP speakers and create CME activities from recorded sessions at the recently concluded Annual Meeting to post on the AAP Virtual Campus.
Advance the Resident Curriculum Project by working with identified SMEs to collect content and facilitate reviews the modules.
Plan and host webinars of interest and post recorded content from webinars on the AAP Virtual Campus.
Coordinate and manage pilot programs for current projects and collect feedback.
Work with the Education Director and the Education Committee to develop innovative approaches that facilitate the management of residency programs, evaluate resident competency, and develop teaching faculty.
Encourage innovation in formats, methods and media by presenting alternative educational modalities to volunteers planning educational programs.
Manage an efficient and effective processes for developing, delivering, and evaluating educational programs.
Prepare and report on evaluation results for all educational activities including the Annual meeting.
Ensure that the Societies continuing medical education program are fully compliant with ACCME.
3-5 years of experience in association management with expert knowledge of issues related to continuing medical education.
Strong technical aptitude with online education technology. Experience with Oasis Learning Management System or similar learning platforms a plus.
Strong communication, writing and organizational skills.
Ability to work effectively as a team member and project manager.
Ability to work independently from home with internet access. Access to a laptop a plus.
Maryland resident a plus.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or equivalent combination of association experience and education
Additional Salary Information: 7 hours a day/ 5 day a week
