We are seeking a Digital Communications Manager to join our highly collaborative three-member team in a position that offers a wide variety of content and data driven responsibilities for all internal and external audiences in a busy and collegial environment. This position reports to the Director of Marketing and Communications.
The Digital Communications Manager has many exciting, creative opportunities to create and publish multi-media content and implement the key tasks and functions for the school website and other marketing and communications projects and initiatives. The Digital Communications Manager will manage, coordinate, and maintain the school’s news platforms and website, build and publish the weekly parent e-newsletter, and implement all tasks that support the various online publications and solutions for all school marketing and communications. S/he is responsible for essential technical aspects of school communications creating online forms, publishing content on the website, ensuring data integrity for directories and managing the build and delivery of emails. S/he will also cover external media communications and news for academics, student life, development, and alumnae events. A more detailed list of responsibilities includes, but is not limited to, the following items:
Create, produce, and publish stories and multimedia (photo/video) content for the news, press releases, social media, blog formats, e-mail, digital marketing and advertising, and recording platforms
Maintain and coordinate the communications calendar across all school departments
Implement tasks assigned to support the strategic communications and marketing plans for the school website and other special projects and school initiatives
Build and publish the weekly parent e-newsletter and other e-newsletters for other audiences in collaboration with the Senior Manager of Communications
Create online forms and surveys using multiple third-party solutions to facilitate event and program registrations
Manage and maintain the digital screens in partnership with the technology department and key stakeholders
Serve as a liaison with web service provider and the technology department to report and troubleshoot functionality issues
Manage coordination of schedules and distribution lists for all emails
Cover school events and activities as assigned
Manage all photo, video, and brand assets and distribute as assigned
Manage the digital workflow processes, programs, platforms, and channels
Compile and provide data for search engine optimization (SEO), reporting, and analysis for the Director
Coordinate the planning and online publishing of the School’s administrative documents to the respective resource portals (faculty/staff, parents, etc)
Enter, update, and maintain approved events and calendar requests for the School’s website calendar and Annual All-School Important Key Dates calendar
Update and release snow day and emergency announcements, as directed
Manage the department’s administrative tasks as assigned by the Director
Other duties as assigned
