Essential Functions: Wayne State University has an available position of Assistant Professor (Research) in Detroit, MI. Job Duties:Conduct research in & develop quantitative MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) technologies to investigate neurological diseases including dementia, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, & peripheral nerve diseases. Develop magnetic resonance (MR) imaging sequences for MR users. Develop Digital Imaging & Communications in Medicine (DICOM) service to process images. Publish results of research in peer-reviewed journals & present results at national & international conferences. Write & submit grant proposals.
Qualifications: Position requires a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) degree in Biomedical Engineering & 12 months experience as an MR Imaging Software Engineer.Position also requires: Ph.D. dissertation in quantitative MRI technology development.
