To provide assistance to the College of Engineering in the area of personnel administration and will be responsible for the effective handing of a wide variety of complex duties assigned with the area of personnel services and functions.
Manages faculty personnel process, hiring, tenure and promotion process, and evaluation processes, working closely with the Provost Office. The College of Engineering currently has 156 tenure/tenure track faculty; 4.5 deans and 53.5 non tenure track faculty. Monitors the workload apportionment and appropriate allocation of cost centers for all full-time faculty. Serves as the college's coordinator for digital measures and works with each department and new faculty on its utilization. Serves as chief HR manager for the college – creates college HR processes and procedures, remains up to date on HR processes and procedures, develops and implements uniform on-boarding processes for new staff and coordinates on-site HR training for staff. Receives, analyzes, and provides recommendations on all position requisition and review forms directed to the Hiring Request Committee. Monitors annual staff performance evaluation completions and assists with the annual merit process with salary analysis of staff and faculty. Maintains and creates electronic and paper filing system for all dean's records and all COE faculty and staff personnel files.
Bachelor's degree. Three (3) years of special program coordination or administrative experience or the equivalent experience. Experience in Microsoft products ‐ Word, Excel, PowerPoint, good communication skills both oral and written.
Experience with digital measures. Experience with UTShare & Oracle/PeopleSoft. Work experience in HR capacity in higher education.
