The system analyst will support our newly formed Cloud Platform Innovation Lab . The Cloud Platform Innovation Lab is focused on driving forward innovation by bringing together people, technologies, and skills, both internally and externally through new and existing partnerships with our strategic cloud providers and with other innovative leaders. The team will explore, identify, evaluate, and prototype emerging technologies that will have deep, meaningful impact on bottom-line financial results and support our organizational goals. The system analyst will be vital to identifying and understanding our business needs to ensure we are creating a successful and sustainable model of collaborative partnerships. The system analyst will have a key role in supporting the partner engagements with our core cloud application vendors and working towards the intended outcomes defined by the mission and business plan of the Cloud Innovation Lab. The system analyst will be responsible for identifying business problems with deep impacts; getting to the root of the problems (not what the business wants, but what they truly need); and ensuring those needs are being met throughout development and delivery.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Identifies and clearly defines problems that affect our ability to provide excellent care and value for those within our care. Seek creative solutions and support the design and implementation of those solutions.
Works as part of a team to design, build and support custom software solutions.
Works closely with champions, sponsors, stakeholders, and caregivers to create strategy, approach, sequencing, and timeline for projects and the overall program
Provides intake mechanism for organizational ideas
Provides and present organizational communication and education related to the program. Ensure communications are consistent and coordinated.
Works with caregivers, IT staff, and team members to understand business needs and processes and use this knowledge to translate into a design and requirements, and the development, selection, and implementation of solutions.
Develops and executes comprehensive test plans and scripts, inclusive of usability and accessibility testing
Develops and maintains quality project, system and operational documentation
Leads documentation reviews to ensure team adheres to strict quality standards
Represents the Cloud Platform Innovation Lab during tours, presentations, lunch and Learns, conferences, and other events which may fall outside of traditional business ours or require travel.
Identifies and implements improvements to advance the mission of the Cloud Platform Innovation Lab
Maintains a strong focus on planning, estimating, deadlines, budget, scope and desired outcomes.
Maintains effective relationships in order to provide a climate receptive to system and process improvement and to enhance understanding of the business concerns and needs.
Ensures quality deliverables through unit testing, participation in QA reviews and other quality control processes.
Utilizes business knowledge to identify opportunities for improvement of existing and/or new information technology that will drive value to the business and increase efficiency gains.
Establishes strong vendor management to ensure delivery of services and deliverables as expected as well as overall application management.
Escalates as appropriate to key stakeholders, including management, and end users.
Independently and simultaneously project manage multiple engagements with outside vendors and internal resources.
Performs assigned work safely, adhering to established departmental safety rules and practices. Reports to supervisor, in a timely manner, any unsafe activities, conditions, hazards, or safety violations that may cause injury to oneself, other employees, patients and visitors.
Performs other related duties as required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
Seven -Ten years' experience in Information Technology with a minimum of five years' experience as a business analyst or similar responsibilities. Experience with Microsoft Office tools including workflow documentation using Visio or similar tool.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
