Position Summary: Cardozo School of Law is seeking a part-time admissions coordinator to join the J.D. Admissions team. The coordinator will assist with: the organization and execution of all recruitment events both on- and off- campus; managing office inventory; processing of applications and supporting documents; admissions correspondence; and general office support.
Responsible for managing office inventory organizing, storing and tracking admissions publications
Assists with organizing and coordinating admissions recruitment events
Primarily responsible for all mail/shipment of recruitment materials and brochures for law fairs, prospective students, and admitted students. Assists with the delivery of digital correspondence and messaging to prospective students
Serve as liaison with other departments including Production, Facilities, and IT
Responsible for answering office telephone calls and greeting visitors
Assist with J.D. admissions processing and general office support as requested
Responsible for data entry, assisting with release of electronic decisions, and transmission of admissions data to other University systems (i.e. Banner)
Experience & Educational Background:
Bachelor's degree required
1-2 years prior related experience required
Skills & Competencies:
The admissions coordinator must be a team player, a problem-solver, and possess excellent organizational and communication skills
Strong computer skills are required
Extremely well organized, and computer proficient. Office 365 required
Effectively manages own time and resources
Able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
Ability to develop effective relationships with peers, students and employees
Interacts and proactively shares information with internal and external contacts where appropriate
Assumes responsibility for tasks to ensure issues/concerns will be addressed and monitors them through conclusion
Identifies, defines and analyzes information and situations before recommending a course of action
Seeks to apply technology and innovation to improve efficiency and solve problems
Ability to lift boxes, climb stairs, push heavily loaded carts, etc.
