Job Summary This position will be specifically to carry out sequential fluorescence in situ hybridization experiments in the Cai Research group in the Division of Biology and Biological Engineering. The senior tech position would be also responsible for maintaining the tissue procurement pipeline from samples to sectioning.
Job Duties - Perform in situ hybridization reactions (25%) - Imaging hybridized samples with single molecule microscopy (25%) - Generate hybridization probes via molecular cloning methods (10%) - Manage all aspects of obtaining mouse tissue sections, including perform perfusion and sectioning (40%) - Other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications - BS in biology, biochemistry, chemistry, physics, bioengineering or related field - Minimum of three year experience in biology or imaging - Possesses good molecular cloning and technical skills - Excellent attention to details and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications - Experience with working with mice - Experience with project management - Collaboration experience
