The Center to Support Excellence is Teaching (CSET), a research center within the GSE at Stanford University, seeks a full-time Elementary Program Manager to be part of a core team leading CSET's work in support of a new school launch project in China.
Working in close partnership with the Project Manager, Secondary Program Manager, Senior Research
Associate, and international partners, the Elementary Program Manager will lead the CSET team
responsible for the development of all K-5 deliverables for this project. These include:
K-5 Instructional Framework in 4 core content areas (language, math, science, social studies)
K-5 Curriculum Framework in 4 core content areas
Sample K-5 Curriculum Units
K-5 Teacher Professional Learning 2-week institute focused on the instructional and curriculum frameworks
K-5 Teacher Coaching Plan
Core duties will include (but are not limited to):
Identify and recommend opportunities for new research associated with the project
Develop and implement research data collection plan
Contribute to and inform on strategic program planning and related funding
Contribute to outreach strategy related to program communications in later phases of the work
Closely work with project team

Minimum Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree and three years of relevant experience or combination of education, training, and relevant experience.
Preferred Education & Experience:
Advanced degree and at least three years of K-5 teaching
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to develop program partnerships and funding sources.
Excellent oral, written, and analytical skills, exhibiting fluency in area of specialization.
Ability to oversee and direct staff.
Basic knowledge of managing budgets and developing financial plans.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Prior experience in the following areas:
Designing and implementing research-based instructional interventions
Professional learning experiences for instructional leaders and coaches
International teaching experience
Launching an international school in a fast-paced environment
Designing and implementing high-quality teacher professional learning experiences
A highly collaborative and flexible approach to the work
Advanced computer skills with a working knowledge of applications such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Google platform.
