The Department of Environmental & Technological Studies at St. Cloud State University is seeking applications from qualified candidates for a fixed-term position at the Assistant Professor level to teach 50% time in Technology Education and/or Construction Management, support K-12 outreach programs and provide support for grant funded projects with an appointment starting date of August 18, 2020. The position will include support for external collaborations, K-12 outreach, 50% teaching responsibilities and project management of internal and external projects. Support and outreach to existing schools and programs in Minnesota
Programming development for TEC Network /Mobile Labs program
Plan and coordinate Technology Network activities (network meetings, equipment delivery, etc.)
Proposal and report development to foster new initiatives that complement existing outreach and programming; includes Huskies Invent, TEAM Industries, Paynesville, and pending collaborations
Programming development for St. Cloud State University's Husky Make It Space
Teaching of undergrad and graduate courses in Technology Education and Construction Management
Master's Degree in Technology Education or related education field
Teaching experience in Technology Education
Teaching experience in Construction Management
Experience managing labs including Maker Spaces and student supervision
Ability to collaborate with a variety of people / organizations
Experience managing multiple projects
Evidence of demonstrated ability to teach and/or work with persons from culturally diverse backgrounds
Doctoral Degree in Technology Education or related education field
Teaching experience at the graduate level in technology education
