Overview
AMLI Residential has a great opportunity for an IT Project Coordinator that will be responsible for the coordination, documentation, communication, and execution of critical IT initiatives ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals. This position is based out of our corporate office, located in the Chicago Board of Trade building, close to all public transportation.
The IT Project Coordinator will support the entire IT department including; Infrastructure, Network, PC Management, Application Development and Application Support, and will directly support the IT team lead responsible for a particular project. Duties Include:
- Work with IT team leads and business unit partners in documenting the project's objectives.
- Define and document project scope, goals and deliverables.
- Develop project plans including schedule of project timelines.
- Define project tasks and resource requirements.
- Direct project teams throughout the project life cycle, ensuring the project tasks stay on track and on budget while achieving a high standard of quality
- Prepare checklists as needed for project go-live.
- Prepare meeting agendas and minutes.
- Provide project evaluations and assessment of results.
- Coordinate the efforts and availability of internal project resources in addition to third-party contractors, consultants and support vendors.
- Manage changes to the project scope, schedule, and costs using appropriate verification techniques.
- Prepare and distribute status updates to all stakeholders.
- Escalate project impediments to management as needed, including notification if outlined deadlines or budgets are in jeopardy.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
BA/BS degree in Information Technology and/or project management related field preferred. 1+ years of experience in managing Information Technology projects required. Knowledge of the multi-family real estate development process a plus. Knowledgeable regarding current available technology solutions and proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Strong working knowledge of IT policies/procedures, Network Management and Administration, Hardware, and Software utilized throughout the company. Proficient in project management software.
TRAVEL:
Light travel for company meetings, education or one-off project related needs may be required up to 10%.
