The Analyst position for one of CBRE's top technology accounts supports business intelligence projects focused on real estate data analyses for CBRE's US-based and global clients. Through data warehousing, visualization, and examination, this position helps our internal clients optimize their operations across all service lines: project management, finance, portfolio administration, cost forecasting, transaction management, facilities management, etc.
An analyst works closely with our internal clients and database technical platform team to automate data collection from source operational systems, aggregate and standardize the information in a data warehouse, and develop Tableau or similar visualization tool dashboards that leverage the warehouse to generate meaningful client insights.
The analyst will work with the dedicated Digital & Technology (D&T) account team with support of CBRE platform for initial solutions and ongoing support.
Service lines and regional points of contact will be provided to help facilitate interactions between clients and technology partners.
Additionally, the CBRE D&T group helps our clients with innovative technology solutions based on the data collected. An analyst supports projects to collect the requisite client data, build and refine models, potentially leverage some of the latest technology to present a meaningful data story in formal reports and dashboards.
The account and D&T organization is global in nature and projects may include members in any global region. Additionally, the D&T team is split between Sunnyvale and the UK, and frequent interactions with the UK team would be required. Interactions with stakeholders globally (including APAC) would also be required.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Creates, maintains and optimizes creative data visualizations and dashboards to derive actionable intelligence.
Performs ad-hoc, strategic analysis of structured and unstructured data across multiple data sources, reflecting global real estate markets and the operations of real estate assets.
Exhibits analytical rigor, judgment, and ability to present a comprehensive 'data story' to multiple levels of the organization.
Defines data requirements, gathers and validates information, using judgment and statistical tests.
Develops data structures and pipelines to organize, collect, cleanse, and standardize data in order to generate insights and addresses reporting needs.
Identifies and troubleshoots data integration and integrity issues in cooperation with the appropriate CBRE business units; Designs workflows and procedures.
Provide subject matter expertise on data-related processes and analyses.
Identifies opportunities to maximize data usage, applying modeling and optimization methods to develop new strategies and improve business performance.
Essential Skills & Qualifications :
Excellent data management, manipulation, and analysis skills.
Highly skilled in dashboard design and development. Intermediate to advanced Tableau or similar visualization tool skills are required.
Ability to create integrated data models from disparate sources.
Skilled in relational databases and SQL.

Experience with Tableau preferred. Experience with one or more of the market leading visualization tools required.

Experience with Google Cloud Platform highly preferred but not required. Experience working with either GCP, AWS or Azure Cloud Platforms required.
Exposure to Salesforce.com preferred but not required.
Experience in machine learning or statistical analysis preferred.
Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires intermediate analytical and quantitative skills.
Working knowledge of commercial real estate company operations desirable but not required.
Comfortable working independently and collaboratively.
Demonstrated ability to respond to changing and sometimes ambiguous situations.
Bachelor's degree (B.S) in computer science or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of related experience in quantitative analysis, data modeling, reporting, relational database tools, data warehousing, and SQL, including 2-3 years technical experience in machine learning or statistical analysis, data engineering and data visualization related work.
