Albright College, a liberal arts college in Reading, PA, is seeking applications for a Help Desk Analyst. This position is responsible for performing a variety of tasks and contributing to projects that support the efficient operation of the Information Technology that is managed by the Digital Strategy and Infrastructure Division. Areas of responsibilities include support services for desktop and office technology, academic technology services and Client Services.
Essential Job Functions: 1. Support campus departments and end-users with the deployment, replacement, troubleshooting of productivity technology (local software, hosted software, software as a service, computers, tablets, mobile, printing service, etc.). 2. Deploy, replace, maintain and troubleshoot academic technology used to support instruction by Albright faculty, staff, and students. This includes academic software, academic computers, lectern equipment, projection and other technologies that support our academic programs. 3. Keeps knowledge of industry practices current and advises DSI leadership on new academic and administrative technologies. 4. Assists with or leads department projects as assigned. 5. Performs initial requirements analysis, research, pricing, and initiates procurement process when new or replacement software and equipment is needed. Provides necessary detail to DSI leadership on all purchase requests. 6. Provide client service desk and media Services functions for Albright’s community and coordinates with other members of the Client Services team to ensure excellent delivery of Services. Maintains a high level of proficiency in troubleshooting and problem resolution related to frequently asked Help Desk calls/tickets. 7. Responsible for providing own timely and reliable transportation to Reading campus and off-site locations to provide job-related functions as directed. 8. Performs work onsite on a daily basis, minimally during normal department operational hours. Any exception to being on-site needs to be discussed and approved in advance with DSI leadership. 9. Works equitably with Client Services team to ensure a continuum of on-site presence, and to ensure schedule needs are met to best support the department and college business needs. Any exception to this staffing level needs to be discussed and approved in advance with DSI leadership. 10. Works independently or as a member of a team on a variety of projects. 11. Works within agreed upon departmental standards, procedures and policies 12. Evening, weekend, and special event support work required 13. Maintains and respects confidential information as defined by the college 14. Provides evening, weekend, and special event support work on occasion, and as required to meet the business needs of the department and College 15. Share in overall on-call responsibilities as needed 16. Performs other duties as assigned

Some College events are held outdoors, which are subject to various weather conditions (heat, cold, wind, rain, snow).
The individual is routinely exposed to indoor conditions, minimum outdoor weather and temperature extremes, and moderate noise level.

Ability to organize independent work, set priorities, adjust to peak periods in the workflow and complete assignments independently. d. Flexibility to perform daily recurring tasks while at the same time working on various longer-term departmental projects. e.
