The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
The Manager, Clinical Project Management is accountable for the planning, execution and closure of assigned clinical studies conducted and/or managed by 3M in accordance with the protocol, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), International Conference on Harmonisation- Good Clinical Practice (ICH-GCP), local regulations and applicable regulatory requirements. This position involves cross functional coordination of clinical projects including development of the study protocol, Case Report Form (CRF) design, statistical planning and analysis, safety monitoring and medical writing.

Managing and/or overseeing the planning and execution of assigned clinical studies
Maintaining operational responsibility for assigned ongoing clinical studies including fiscal oversight, study timelines, tracking of project metrics, and project and site management
Managing assigned Clinical Operations resources and providing oversight to direct reports to achieve functional goals including:
Providing training, coaching, development and mentoring
Reviewing reports, approving travel, assessing compliance with monitoring plans, procedures and regulations and evaluating performance
Reviewing trial performance, adherence to study timelines, enrollment projections, budget
Assuring compliance with appropriate regulatory and medical standards
Managing or overseeing the identification and qualification of sites and Investigators
Managing or overseeing the set-up and coordination of vendors/Clinical Research Organization (CRO) activities
Performing co-monitoring visits at participating sites, CRO’s etc., to ensure compliance with the protocol and appropriate regulations, guidelines and SOPs as needed
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
Five (5) years clinical project management experience in the medical device and/or pharmaceutical industry (private, public, government or military)
Eight (8) combined years experience clinical research and/or research experience in a private, public, government or military environment
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
Bachelor’s degree in sciences/life sciences or other health care related field from an accredited institution
Minimum three (3) years management experience directly supervising employees in a private, public, government or military environment
Experience with global clinical project management in the medical device and/or pharmaceutical industry (private, public, government or military)
Multi-lingual, English and Spanish preferred
Travel: May include up to 20% domestic or international
