As part of the Knowledge and Innovation Department, the Knowledge Management (“KM”) Assistant works in concert with the KM Lawyers, the Senior Practice and Client Solutions Manager, to assist in firm knowledge sharing projects. To this end, the KM Assistant is engaged in the day-to-day ongoing support of legal practice management tools, SharePoint project sites and the firm’s extranet, Client Connect.
Support KM technology projects by categorizing, tagging and uploading documents to project management sites and databases.
Assist with document automation initiatives by coding document questionnaires using Contract Express to improve practice group workflows.
Serve as one of the Knowledge Services team experts for our internal team site. Support the team site by updating team information, posting appropriate material and assisting with team project sites.
Assist with maintaining documentation including policies and procedures governing internal and external resources.
Assist with onboarding new technologies such as Doxly, Contract Express, Kira and Clause Companion.
Bachelor’s degree required. Experience working in a corporate or legal environment is a plus.
Basic understanding of information collection and retrieval including experience with database searching.
Basic understanding of Excel and web-based tools.
Ability to learn new applications and technologies, relevant to KM, in a timely fashion and to apply such applications and technologies to the PW environment.
Effective interpersonal and communication skills
Highly developed organizational ability, sound judgment and attention to detail
Self-starter with a strong ability to effectively manage multiple projects concurrently and a flexibility and willingness to work extended hours as required.
Strong sense of urgency and professional dedication.
Attendance Requirements: On site during normal working hours and available when necessary before or after normal working hours in order to meet the demands of the job and the needs of the firm.
