Responsible for achieving supply expense management initiatives and targets by identifying opportunities related to product price, standardization, and utilization within Penn State Health and subsidiaries. Position will initiate and assist Penn State Health and subsidiaries in the selection, evaluation, monitoring, cost analysis and implementation of services and processes. Responsible for the removal of redundancy as well as researching clinical evidence tied to products and processes within Penn State Health and subsidiaries.
The individual will work collaboratively with physicians, allied health professionals, Vice Presidents, Materials Management staff, and vendors.
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience and 5 – 7 years of related experience required
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
Advanced skill level of basic office and specialized software
Strong communication skills
Analytical experience with knowledge of financial and accounting concepts
Management skills, including program planning and development, project management and performance and quality management
Previous experience as a skilled facilitator is preferred but not required
Previous clinical experience required
Lean certified; Kaizen event leader, green belt, or black belt preferred
